Exporting from print preview
 
This bar appears at the top of all print preview windows. The various components are explained below. Please note that the two export buttons on the far right of the bar will only create the export files AFTER the preview window has closed. Do not expect anything to happen the instant you click them.

Fit pages to window

1. Fit pages~to window
Click here to fit the report pages into the preview window either by page width or page height.

Zoom percentage

2. Zoom percentage
Enter a zoom percentage or click the down arrow to select a percentage from a list.

First page

3. First page
Click here to jump to the first page of the report.

Previous/next page

4. Previous/next~page
Click here to scroll up or down through the report one page at a time. You can use PgUp and PgDn on the keyboard to obtain the same result.

Last page

5. Last page
Click here to jump to the last page of the report.

Page number control

6. Page number control
Enter the page number you want to view, or select it using the up/down arrows on the right of the control.

Search

7. Search
Click here to search for a specific text string in the report.

Pin control

8. Pin control
If you choose "Print complete report" (see below) the preview window closes. Click this button to prevent that from happening and keep the report onscreen.

Print current page

9. Print~current~page
Click here to print the page currently displayed. This is useful if the report is very long and you want to print only the last page (or a selection of single pages).

Print complete report

10. Print complete~report
Click here to print the complete report. The system will allow you to change the printout destination, number of copies and other print properties first, using the standard Windows printer dialog screen.

Number of copies

11. Number~of copies
Select the number of copies you require.

Quit

12. Quit
This will close the preview window WITHOUT printing, after which any export files selected by the two buttons on the far right of the bar (.PDF and/or .CSV) will be created.
Please note: IF the Pin control (see above) is "In" AND you have already printed the complete report OR a number of selected pages, you MUST close the preview window either by using the Quit button or the Esc key on the keyboard. If you close it by clicking the button marked "X" in the top right corner of the preview window, the complete report will be printed.

Pages to print

13. Pages to~print
Select All, or enter specific page numbers separated by commas to print a selection only.

PDF export

14. PDF export
Click here (single click) to move the button "In" or "Out". If the button is "In", the system will create a .PDF file when the preview window closes.

CSV (Excel) export

15. CSV (Excel)~export
Click here (single click) to move the button "In" or "Out". If the button is "In", the system will create a .CSV file suitable for Excel when the preview window closes.
 
Please make regular backups! We cannot help you recover from disaster without a recent backup.
